AI or Artificial Intelligence is the greatest invention of man kind. It is so powerful that even its own creators are concerned about its dangers and its negative impact on the world.
AI will affect all of us - whatever is your job role or where ever you live. Just like Mobile phones and mobile towers have reached the remote corners of the world, AI too is becoming part of our lives whether we know it, like it or not. It is in our Mobile Apps, Banks, Schools, Airports, Washing Machines and even in many CCTV cameras. There is no escape, but to accept and deal with it.

Just like Nuclear energy was promoted saying it is the future because its clean and powerful, and then it was used to develop Nuclear weapons, in the same way AI too was developed with good intentions but its already being applied for war, faster extraction of earth's resources, artificial food, cyber warfare, hacking, AI romantic partners, Identity frauds etc - pretty much all the things we never thought it would be used for. Of course its also being used for education, healthcare, government decisions etc. But these are not without a heavy profit motive or evil intent.

Is AI a real threat?
Millions of people have already lost their jobs and millions more are getting displaced into different roles or cities due to automation and AI adoption. There are many reports to prove this and you must have already seen this happening in your own office or locality. AI has knowledge about all the books that was ever written which have been digitized. It can read 100+ languages so yeah, even Sanskrit books too. Hence this thing is more dangerous than any weapon ever built. It has the power to do unimaginable things. It is growing more powerful, complex and expensive to maintain. All people in IT, Knowledge Industry and many others are at high risk of losing their Jobs. Many other industries where automation and AI adoption is growing fast are also at risk.
With such trouble at hand, how can we promise a bright future for our children? What should they learn to equip themselves to face such a world? What value does modern Education and its fancy certificates offer? Not just you, even the governments across the world do not have a clear idea or a foolproof plan. If you continue to believe someone else will take care of this problem so that your family will be safe, good luck with that! For those who prefer to do something, don't wait for this crisis to knock at your door. Please create a Plan B for your future.

More job roles are being added to this list as AI becomes more powerful each day. It wont be a surprise if it is able to replace more than 90% of the world's jobs within 2 years. I am not saying this, most biggest thinkers are - google it for yourself!
So yes, almost all jobs are at risk, unless you are taking care of babies, delicate patients or something even more complex that only humans can do. This does not mean all jobs will be replaced, but most jobs will be challenged and compared against AI.
What will future with AI look like?
A future where AI will be controlling our lives is not something we should look forward to. Because we all know how that may end up. The problem is not with the AI but with people who own and continue to shape AI's future - they are pure evil and do not have the best interests of common people in their minds.
When most humans are replaced by AI, the world will be run by people who run AI. The government will not be able to control these large companies who own all the AI simply because they collective represent the largest tax payers and the largest workforce which not just runs their private corporations but also the entire government. How can a Government not require the power of AI ? If even Government relies on AI, then who controls the government - is it not clear that companies who own the AI now control the government?
So now if these companies can control the government, then why will they play by the Dharmic rules? Why will they worry about the good of people who are now just a burden to be managed by the rich? They wont!
So this is the start of what many people call as "Universal Basic Income" - a sum of money given to people by the government just to survive. As you can expect, someone will decide how much you are worth and they will control your lives. For eg. they may control the medicines you take or number of children you want to have, simply because they do not think you are worth it. We are reduced to being cattle, at the courtesy of the owner, we just survive as long as possible with no present or future.
In the mean time, whatever you want to do, you need to talk to AI - not real humans. The world will be run by AI as it is more cheaper, efficient and easier to control.
The future with AI is only as good as who will control it. We know for sure that only dark people are the ones craving to hold and control the most powerful things in the world. Countries like India although have a far more wiser approach to things may not be in a position to negotiate in a diplomatic way if others dont play fair.
If we allow the world to be controlled by large corporations through AI - then all humans are doomed, sooner than later.
How to prepare ourselves in the age of AI
Without knowing where we have gone wrong, jumping to any new solution will not be useful because we may be committing the same mistake once again.
The modern life and all its promises have failed us - we must accept this, this is the first step.
To clarify what I mean:
Modern life has not given us more freedom, but made us tied to our jobs.
Modern life has not given us a pristine space but artificial gardens next to sewage rivers.
Modern life has not given us jobs that elevate and bring out the best in us, instead they have taken the best years of our precious lives and separated us from our own families - at the end of each day, we go back to our family, broken, tired and stressed out, absent and useless in every way.
Backpain, belly-fat, hair-loss, broken relationships, ill-health; all these are not given to us by our jobs, it is self-inflicted by us to stay employed - because we all fear rejection and are afraid to lose the most precious thing in our lives - our income.
Even our parents and may be even their parents fell for this trap - a steady income, a permanent job, even better, a government job, pension and employee quarters! All these ideas were sowed deep within us so that achieved them at any cost - even if we end up becoming slaves for the dark people with grand intent of Industrializing everything.
These few dark people are determined on the noble task of tearing up the earth and calling it progress, they forgot that earth is not to be meddled with, it is not something that needs fixing.
Progress for these people is a way of inviting workers into a false promise of safe, secure and perfect life so that they enter into their Industries to become their permanent slaves.
And we know what happened after Industrial era. Parents insisted their children to get high quality education so that they do not end up going to factories or working as a clerk somewhere - they were given bigger goals - to become engineers and doctors.
These Engineers then went on to cut down trees, built roads, dams, borewells, produced more industrial waste, polluted rivers, made hybrid vegetables and fruits etc etc.
Doctors were no less, they went on to medical field and commerialized the healthcare system, we now have medical shops in every street, high tech hospital in each town and doctors in every house. The trouble being - almost everything now complains of ill health. And if you want to be a doctor through general merit, then it will cost you only 1-3 CR and about 15 years to become one.
We have abused our earth, tradition, culture and our health to unforgivable extents. All this is a symptom of a collapsing world. What has led us to here?
Will an educated man or woman allow their children to breath toxic air, feed them poison 3 times a day, make them sit in classes that teach distorted truth about everything, will they accept peanuts for their fixed deposits in the bank while the bank earns a lion's share? Will they be so willing to work to death for money which barely pays their bills and keeps them hungry for more? What the hell is happening? How did we end up in such a shocking situation? Bad Education! Yes, Education in India and across the world is the main culprit for the all modern day problems.
Bad education, mis-direction and bad decisions executed over 2 or 3 generations have lead us to this day - where we are facing an existential crisis created through our own actions.
How will we survive this? The answer is to revert back to basics and use common sense which is currently lacking in most educated individuals.
This could be as simple as saying NO to what you think is unfair, unjust or not making sense. For eg. paying lakhs of rupees as donation to get your child into school or college. Or paying your insurance diligently hoping it will save you one day or commuting hours everyday to work - is this all worth it, does it make sense?
Or whether it is worth taking those pills and heading to office, only to make sure you have enough money to pay for the house loan and your children's future education. What will the future look like if you fall ill? Will your child go to work or will attend to your illness? Do you wish your child never faces a problem in their lives or do you wish they know how to face any situation? Then why are you trying to so hard to fix their future?
Only by asking tough questions, only by accepting the reality, we can create a Plan B for us and our family. If we dont prepare ourselves to face this crisis, there wont be a second chance.
