Summary of Christanity

God view

God is one eternal being who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. This concept is known as the Holy Trinity. Christians believe God is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and is the creator of everything.

Self view

The self in Christianity is viewed as created in the image of God, which means each person has inherent worth and dignity. Christians believe humans have a soul and are called to live in relationship with God, striving to follow Jesus' teachings and seek forgiveness and salvation through Him.

Religious tolerance

Christians believe that Jesus is the one true God and redemption. But they are largely tolerant to other religious views.

View on rebirth

Christianity does not believe in rebirth or reincarnation. Instead, Christians believe in the resurrection of the dead and eternal life. According to Christian teachings, after death, individuals face judgment by God and their eternal destiny is either heaven or hell based on their faith in Jesus Christ and their actions during their lifetime.

View on Evil

Evil is understood in two main forms, Moral evil and Natural Evil. Christians believe in the existence of Satan (the Devil), who represents the personification of evil and actively works against God. However, Christianity also teaches that God's goodness ultimately prevails and that through faith in Jesus Christ, individuals can overcome evil and find salvation.

Is there a concept of conversion?

Christians believe in the Great Commission, a mandate from Jesus to spread the Gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). This reflects a desire to share their faith with others out of love and a belief in the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ.

View on food

In christianity from the Old Testament, there are strict dietary laws known as kosher laws. These laws specify which animals are considered clean (permissible for consumption) and which are unclean (forbidden). For example, animals that do not chew cud or do not have split hooves are considered unclean.

They abstain from consuming food that is offered to other Gods, food sacrificed to Idols ( Prasadam) and meat of strangled animals.

View about ancestors

Christians have the concept of ancestors, but they are not worshiped or revered in any way.
